Post Secondary Section Contains Information On:
At Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy we believe in providing students with the necessary tools to achieve their best. Our teaching staff is committed to informing students and their parents of their child’s accomplishments in school. They are also committed to assisting students when they are experiencing difficulty. Our Academic Monitoring Program is meant to further assist students and their parents in being aware of student successes and interventions they may require.
Every month, junior/senior teachers come together to review students’ progress reports and discuss each student’s achievement. If a student is experiencing difficulty, interventions for success are recommended. These recommendations are passed on to students and parents through a lead teacher. Teachers at Our Lady of the Snows want to ensure that students get the help they need as soon as possible when they are experiencing difficulty in a subject.
Furthermore, parents have been sent out information to access their child’s progress in PowerSchool. If you are experiencing difficulty accessing PowerSchool please contact Mrs. Egglestone at (403) 609-3699 ext. 123. It is our goal at Our Lady of the Snows to maintain constant communication with students and parents. We believe that this program will lead to further academic success for all our students.
There are a variety of reasons why French as a second language is an important optional class. For information regarding Our Lady of the Snows French classes, please speak to Mrs. Chartier. For information on the value of French as a post secondary entrance option, please speak to Mr. Puurunen. Below is article that students and families can use to determine if students should sign up for French as an option.
